Toyota All Keys Lost: Complete On-Site Solution
Toyota is the most popular vehicle brand in Fort Worth, and "all keys lost" is one of our most requested services for Toyota owners. Whether you lost your keys at a store, they were stolen, or you bought a used Toyota with no keys, we can program brand new keys from scratch at your vehicle's location.
Toyota uses several key technologies across its lineup, and the all-keys-lost process varies by generation and key type. Older Toyota models (pre-2010) use transponder keys with 4C, 4D, or G-chip technology. These are relatively straightforward to program from scratch. Newer Toyota models (2010+) increasingly use the Smart Key system with proximity detection and push-button start, which requires more advanced programming through the Toyota Techstream diagnostic platform.
Regardless of the generation, our mobile technicians arrive with everything needed — Techstream diagnostic tools, key cutting equipment, a full inventory of Toyota key blanks and fob shells, and the expertise to handle any Toyota model. The entire process is completed at your location with no towing required.
Toyota Models We Handle for All Keys Lost
We program keys from scratch for every Toyota model on Fort Worth roads including the Toyota Camry (all generations — our most commonly serviced Toyota for all-keys-lost), Toyota Corolla (including the newer hatchback models), Toyota RAV4 (including RAV4 Prime and RAV4 Hybrid), Toyota Highlander (including Highlander Hybrid), Toyota Tacoma (all cab configurations), Toyota Tundra, Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Sequoia, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Prius (all generations including Prime), Toyota Sienna, Toyota C-HR, Toyota Venza, and Toyota GR86.
Each model may use different key types (transponder vs. smart key) and different immobilizer generations, but we have the tools and training for all of them.
The All-Keys-Lost Process for Toyota
When you call us for a Toyota all-keys-lost situation, here's exactly what happens. We verify ownership — we require proof of ownership (registration, title, or insurance) and a valid photo ID. We never make keys without proper verification.
We connect to the vehicle using Toyota Techstream through the OBD-II port and access the immobilizer system. For transponder key models, we read the security data from the immobilizer ECU. For Smart Key models, we access the Smart Key ECU and certification ECU.
We cut a new key blade using precision key cutting equipment, either by reading the lock code from the vehicle or from Toyota's database using the VIN. We program the new key's transponder chip or smart key electronics to the vehicle's immobilizer system using Techstream.
Finally, we test everything thoroughly — engine start, door lock/unlock, trunk release, and for smart keys, all proximity functions including passive entry and push-button start.
The process takes 30-90 minutes depending on the Toyota model and key type. We recommend programming two keys during the visit — having a spare prevents this situation from happening again.
Toyota Key Programming Cost Guide
Toyota all-keys-lost pricing varies based on the key type and model year. Basic transponder keys (older Camry, Corolla, etc.) for all-keys-lost programming typically range from $150-$250 total. This includes the key blank, cutting, and programming.
Smart keys/proximity fobs (newer Camry, Corolla, RAV4, etc.) for all-keys-lost typically range from $250-$450 total, including the fob, cutting the emergency blade, and full programming.
Hybrid models (Prius, RAV4 Hybrid, etc.) may have slightly higher costs due to additional security protocols in the hybrid system.
We always provide an exact quote before starting any work. No hidden fees, no surprises. Our pricing includes the key/fob, cutting, programming, and testing. We also offer a discount for programming a second key during the same visit — strongly recommended to prevent future all-keys-lost situations.
